The shape of cube arose from the idea of the visitor portal for the MAD experience parallel 3 accessing another reality(is), whose concept can be related to the universe, in terms of representing a three-dimensional structure and space. The cube is a symbol and a metaphor for an access portal to the interior of another universe (the exhibition room), which allows one to see and access, around and inside, various other universes, realities and lives.

The cube can symbolize the structure of the universe and its ability to contain objects and matter within it. Furthermore, it represents a finite and limited space, which can be compared to the observable universe, which has limits to what we can see and understand. It also serves as a metaphor for theempathy: seeing others through ourselves (and vice versa).

A oval shape of the hole is present in the faces and is multiplied in the artifact. It emerges from the egg, an important symbol of creation. From the birth of the world or the universe, passing through many mythologies or Ancient Egypt, the egg also represents the renewal of the cycle of nature: (re)creation. It refers, therefore, to the woman.

The theme of universe and parallel realities they are also metaphors. The parallelism comes fromwormhole(wormhole), whose existence is yet to be proven, even though it is already foreseen in the Theory of General Relativity. What distinguishes it from the proven black hole is what probably happens when you fall into them: eventually, “anything that went into one of the mouths of a wormhole could come out of the other mouth. So there are a number of possibilities, such as wormholes leading to other galaxies and maybe even other universes.” (D. Cavalcante)

I was not interested in analyzing the existence (or not) of these space 'worms', but rather the idea of the universe in a mirror image of ours, assuming that, after the Big Bang, expansion did not take place in one but in two directions:

“The expansion after the simulated Big Bang didn't just happen in one direction, but two. The simple Big Bang they modeled produced two universes, one a mirror of the other. In one universe, time appears to run forwards. In the other, time runs backwards, at least from our perspective.” (PBS)
“After decades of tantalizing hints about its existence, the first experiments aiming to go through the looking glass are about to get under way. Finding such a mirror universe would not only transform our view of reality, but could also answer questions about our own universe that have puzzled scientists for decades.” (New Scientist)

In principle a hole has nothing, it doesn't 'exist', it's empty, but it's there! It is this paradox that fascinates me. It is the idea of a hole, and its multiplications / multiverses, that I will explore in my artifact experience, crossing from one universe to another in mirror (mirrorverse). The idea of a mirror, reflections and distortions is always present in the experience of this 'universe' of Digital Media Art, which I project to be 'infinite', as much as the visitor or imagination or knowledge wants.
